How much notice do I need to book a private jet?

For a light or midsize jet within Europe, a few hours can be enough, subject to the availability of aircraft, crew and airport slots. For intercontinental flights, major events such as the Monaco Grand Prix and peak season, it is best to book days or weeks ahead.
